Objectives of Study：

This prospective study was designed to investigate the impact of the occurrence of silent aspiration on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) exacerbation.

纳入标准：

Inclusion criteria

排除标准：

1、合并COPD以外的其他呼吸系统疾病；2、存在已知的神经系统疾病如中风、帕金森病；口腔、咽喉或食管手术史或放疗史；3、最近3月或现在气管插管；4、吞咽困难；5、存在误吸病史。

Exclusion criteria：

1. patients with respiratory complications other than COPD;
2. patients with previous experience of tracheostomy, patients with head and neck cancer or with previous experience of head and neck surgery, and patients with CNS muscle pathology;
3. patients who underwent endotracheal incubation within 3 months;
4. patients with esophageal diseases, including cancer and stricture.
