研究目的：

此項研究旨在研究低水平激光療法減低同時進行化學放療的鼻咽癌患者中放療引起的口腔粘膜炎的嚴重程度的有效性。這項研究亦將評估患者的總體經驗以及LLLT在改善患者生活質量方面的作用（作為次級終點）。  

Objectives of Study：

The aim of the study is to investigate the effectiveness of low-level laser therapy in minimizing the severity of RT-induced oral mucositis in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma undergoing concurrent chemo-RT. The study will also evaluate the overall patient experience and the effect of LLLT in improving patients quality of life as secondary end-points.

纳入标准：

Inclusion criteria

排除标准：

有癌症病史或曾進行過鼻咽癌手術，患有牙關緊閉，任何損害傷口癒合的臨床疾病（例如糖尿病），任何遠處轉移，其他頭頸部惡性腫瘤的先前放療或化療，先前對激光治療的不良反應，已知對輻射過敏，患者年齡小於18歲或大於75歲；或無法給出知情同意的情況將被排除。

Exclusion criteria：

Patients with a history of cancer or previous surgery for NPC, with trismus, any clinically compromised condition that impairs wound healing (e.g. diabetes), any distant metastasis, prior irradiation or chemotherapy for other H&N malignancies, previous adverse reactions to laser treatment, known radiation hypersensitivity, age < 18y or >75y or inability to give informed consent will be excluded.

Blinding：

Randomization sequence is only available for the principal investigator. Both the patient and operator will wear laser concealment goggles specifically designed for blinding. Those wearing these LC goggles cannot visually differentiate the modes of operation (i.e. LLLT or SHAM mode).
