To evaluate the effects of Electroacupuncture (EA) and compare its therapeutic efficacy to Trancutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS) and conventional medical therapy in cases of ISSHL  

Objectives of Study：

To evaluate the effects of Electroacupuncture (EA) and compare its therapeutic efficacy to Trancutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS) and conventional medical therapy in cases of ISSHL

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

 

纳入标准：

Inclusion criteria

排除标准：

1. History of head injury, loud noise exposure, use of ototoxic drugs, infections of middle ears, brain infections;
2. History of coagulation defects or receive anticoagulants/ antiplatelets;
3. History of epilepsy, seizure, stroke, cerebral ischemia, or has cardiac pacemakers;
4. Immunocompromised status, including a debilitated state or Malignancy;
5. Physical examination and laboratory results reveal following findings: Vesicles at pinna, ear canal, or tympanic membrane/ Perforated tympanic membrane/ Fluid in middle ear space/ CNS abnormality/ Abnormal VDRL or TPHA/ Significant prolonged PT, PTT, INR;
6. MRI or CT scan shows structural abnormality of brain and auditory nerve;
7. Lack of ability or willingness to give informed consent.
