研究目的：

本研究围绕嗅觉刺激与抑郁状态之间的内在关联，融合多模态生理与行为信号分析和人工智能方法，构建 “在线感知—客观评估—智能调控” 的闭环研究体系。在科学层面，有助于揭示嗅觉刺激影响情绪状态的生理机制，推动抑郁障碍客观评估与动态建模方法的发展；在方法层面，可为多模态生理与行为信号融合和生物系统调控提供新的研究范式；在应用层面，有望发展出一种非侵入、可持续的辅助调节手段，为情绪健康评估及相关应用提供新的技术路径，并为个体化情绪管理与智能健康干预提供理论依据。  

Objectives of Study：

This study investigates the intrinsic relationship between olfactory stimulation and depressive states. By integrating multimodal physiological and behavioral signal analysis with artificial intelligence methodologies, it establishes a closed-loop research framework encompassing "online perception, objective assessment, and intelligent regulation." At the scientific level, this research contributes to elucidating the physiological mechanisms by which olfactory stimuli influence emotional states, thereby advancing the development of objective assessment and dynamic modeling methods for depressive disorders. Methodologically, it offers a novel research paradigm for the fusion of multimodal physiological and behavioral signals and for the regulation of biological systems. In terms of application, it holds promise for developing a non-invasive and sustainable auxiliary intervention. This provides new technological pathways for emotional health assessment and related applications, while laying a theoretical foundation for personalized emotion management and intelligent health interventions.

纳入标准：

Inclusion criteria

排除标准：

1. 嗅觉功能障碍：患有严重鼻炎、鼻窦炎、鼻息肉，或试验期间存在感冒鼻塞、嗅觉减退/丧失等情况，以及长期使用精油调控情绪的人群； 2. 过敏史：对薰衣草、佛手柑、洋甘菊精油有过敏史，或试验设备（面罩、脑电帽）材质有过敏史； 3. 躯体/精神疾病：患有癫痫、严重哮喘、心脑血管疾病、糖尿病等严重躯体疾病；或精神分裂症、双相情感障碍等其他重性精神疾病，或处于抑郁障碍急性期 / 重度状态（HAMD-17评分＞24分）； 4. 特殊人群：备孕 / 妊娠 / 哺乳期女性，近 3 个月参与过其他同类嗅觉/情绪干预试验者。 5. 无法配合试验：存在认知障碍、沟通障碍，或不能按要求完成睡眠期间嗅觉干预、数据采集等试验任务者。 6. 有自杀倾向，HAMD-17第3项评分≤1分。

Exclusion criteria：

1.Olfactory dysfunction:​ Individuals with severe rhinitis, sinusitis, nasal polyps, or those experiencing nasal congestion due to the common cold, hyposmia/anosmia during the trial period; as well as those with a long-term history of using essential oils for mood regulation. 2.History of allergies:​ Known allergy to lavender, bergamot, or chamomile essential oils; or known allergic reactions to the materials used in the trial equipment (e.g., face masks, EEG caps). 3.Physical or psychiatric disorders:​ Individuals diagnosed with epilepsy, severe asthma, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, diabetes, or other serious physical illnesses; or those with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or other severe psychiatric disorders; or those currently in the acute phase or a severe state of depressive disorder (HAMD-17 score > 24). 4,.Special populations:​ Women who are planning pregnancy, pregnant, or breastfeeding; individuals who have participated in similar olfactory/emotional intervention trials within the past three months. 5.Inability to cooperate:​ Individuals with cognitive impairment or communication barriers, or those unable to complete trial tasks as required, such as olfactory intervention during sleep or data collection. 6.Suicidal tendency:​ Individuals with a suicidal tendency, defined as a score <=1 on Item 3 of the HAMD-17.

Blinding：

In this study, the data administrator had access to the grouping information, and the research participants themselves were completely unaware of their own groups. They were only informed that "they would receive a portable olfactory stimulation intervention." The practicing physicians responsible for data collection and scale scoring also kept the study participants grouped in a blind state.
