研究目的:

能量胶作为马拉松运动中碳水化合物的常用补给形式,其渗透压与成分设计直接影响血糖稳定性与运动表现。海藻酸钠能量胶的优势在于允许高浓度碳水化合物摄入的同时,既能提高胃排空率和避免胃部不适,又能实现小肠段的缓释吸收。本研究旨在对比马拉松比赛中海藻酸钠能量胶与传统能量胶对跑者血糖稳定性及运动表现的影响。  

Objectives of Study:

Energy gels, as a common form of carbohydrate supplementation in marathon running, have their osmolality and composition design directly impacting blood sugar stability and athletic performance. The advantage of sodium alginate energy gels lies in their ability to allow for high-concentration carbohydrate intake while enhancing gastric emptying rate, avoiding gastric discomfort, and achieving sustained release absorption in the intestinal segment. This study aims to compare the effects of sodium alginate energy gels and traditional energy gels on runners' blood sugar stability and athletic performance during marathon races.

The formula for calculating energy gel supplementation frequency is: Number of energy gel supplements = (60 (g/h) × target finish time - carbohydrate content per serving of sports drink (g) × number of sports drink supplements) / (carbohydrate content per serving of energy gel (g)). The intake of energy gels is evenly distributed throughout the race distance.

本研究计划采用分层区组随机化对92名男性业余马拉松跑者进行分组,由独立统计人员完成。首先依据个人最佳成绩(PB)将受试者分为两个层级:精英跑者和进阶跑者。每个层级内,进一步以近3个月月均跑量为协变量,生成区组长度为4的随机序列,按1:1比例将受试者分配至海藻酸钠能量胶组或传统能量胶组,最终形成四组:精英海藻酸钠能量胶组、精英传统能量胶组、进阶海藻酸钠能量胶组、进阶传统能量胶组。

Randomization Procedure (please state who generates the random number sequence and by what method):

This study plans to employ stratified block randomization to divide 92 male amateur marathon runners into groups, which will be completed by an independent statistician. First, the participants will be stratified into two levels based on their personal best (PB) times: elite runners and advanced runners. Within each stratum, a random sequence with a block length of 4 will be generated using the average monthly running volume over the past three months as a covariate. Participants will be allocated in a 1:1 ratio to either the sodium alginate energy gel group or the traditional energy gel group, ultimately forming four groups: the elite sodium alginate energy gel group, the elite traditional energy gel group, the advanced sodium alginate energy gel group, and the advanced traditional energy gel group.
