Objectives of Study: |
1.Primary Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of a music rhythm game intervention as an adjunct therapy for children with ADHD who are currently taking stimulant medications. Specifically, to determine whether adding a 4-week music rhythm game intervention on top of routine pharmacological treatment can further significantly improve children’s core symptoms (inattention and hyperactivity/impulsivity) and daily functional performance. By comparing the pre- and post-intervention score changes on ADHD symptom–related scales (SNAP-IV, ADHD-RS-V) between the "medication + game intervention group" and the "medication + no-intervention group," the added benefit of the game intervention will be verified. 2.Secondary Objectives: To explore the effects of the music rhythm game "Star Beat" on cognitive function and behavior in children with ADHD, including: (1) the improvement of objective indices of attention, such as whether the standard deviation of reaction time in the CPT decreases, suggesting increased stability of sustained attention; (2) changes in executive function, such as whether functional impairment on the WFIRS improves; (3) the correlation between children’s attention maintenance and task completion in the game-training context and clinical assessment indices, to evaluate the feasibility of using in-game data as objective supplementary indices; (4) changes in parents’ and teachers’ subjective evaluations of children’s symptoms, such as score changes on the Conners Parent/Teacher Rating Scales, to comprehensively understand the intervention’s impact on children’s performance in home and school environments. Another secondary objective is to evaluate the feasibility and safety of the game intervention, including children’s adherence (the actual frequency of completed training) and the occurrence of adverse reactions, thereby providing a basis for subsequent optimization of the intervention plan. At the same time, under the same task, to compare the effects of three background sound conditions—instrumental music, children’s songs, and white noise—on ADHD children’s training engagement and emotional state. Finally, to provide an initial proof of concept for the "Effectiveness–Mechanism–Ecology (EME)" framework for evaluating digital therapeutics (DTx). |

Randomization Procedure (please state who generates the random number sequence and by what method): |
Simple randomization is used to randomly assign participants in a 1:1 ratio to the intervention group or the control group, with 25 participants in each group. The random sequence is generated by the study coordinator using computer-generated random codes, and group allocation is implemented after completion of the baseline assessment. |
