Objectives of Study：

Comparing the effectiveness of board games versus traditional health education in improving rural elderly individuals' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding HIV/AIDS.

纳入标准：

Inclusion criteria

排除标准：

（1）存在严重视力、听力或语言交流障碍；（2）疾病终末期或合并有其他严重的急慢性疾病；（3）正在参加或参加过艾滋病相关教育干预。

Exclusion criteria：

1. Severe visual, hearing, or speech communication impairments; 2. Terminal illness or concurrent severe acute or chronic conditions; 3. Currently participating in or having participated in HIV/AIDS-related educational interventions.

本研究采用整群随机设计。在湖南省某镇选取两个在人口基数、社会经济水平及卫生基础设施方面相近的行政村后，以整个行政村为单位进行随机分组。采用抽签法进行随机化：由一名不参与后续研究的独立研究人员制作“观察组”和“对照组”签条各一张，放入不透明容器中充分混匀后随机抽取。首先被抽出的行政村整体分配为观察组，接受基于棋盘游戏的健康教育；剩余行政村则整体分配为对照组，接受传统健康讲座。

Randomization Procedure (please state who generates the random number sequence and by what method)：

This study employed a cluster randomization design. Two administrative villages in a town of Hunan Province, selected for their similarity in population size, socioeconomic status, and healthcare infrastructure, were randomly assigned as a whole. Randomization was conducted using a lottery method: an independent researcher not involved in subsequent research prepared one label each for the "observation group" and "control group," placed them in an opaque container, thoroughly mixed them, and then randomly drew one label. The first administrative village drawn was assigned as a whole to the observation group, receiving health education based on board games. The remaining administrative village was assigned as a whole to the control group, receiving traditional health lectures.

盲法：

由于干预形式的特殊性，受试者和干预实施者无法设盲。但结局评估者（发放和收集问卷的人员）对分组情况不知情，以尽量减少测量偏倚。

Blinding：

Due to the unique nature of the intervention format, blinding of participants and intervention providers was not feasible. However, outcome assessors (those distributing and collecting questionnaires) were unaware of group assignments to minimize measurement bias.
