本项研究的目的是 1)提升家庭照顾者的护理技能;2)缓解作为家庭照顾者在照顾阿兹海默症患者时所面临的压力与挑战。

The aims of this study was 1) to enhance the caregiving skills of family caregivers and 2) to alleviate the stress and challenges of being a family caregiver while caring for a person with dementia in rural China.

该小组的参与者每周将在新津第二人民医院的会议室连续接受 5 次 1 小时的小组教育课程。参与者将分为两组,以促进积极参与与小组讨论。五节标准课程包括 1)理解认知障碍症及其对日常生活的影响;2)如何有效地照顾患有认知障碍症家人的日常生活;3)如何安排患有认知障碍症家人的社交活动;4)如何应对患有认知障碍症家人的行为及情绪问题;5)如何提升家居安全。

Intervention:

Participants in this group will receive five consecutive weekly 1 hour educational sessions in a group setting in a conference room at XMH. Participants will be divided into two groups to promote active participation. The five standard sessions are comprised of: 1) general information of dementia; 2) being a dementia caregiver; 3) caregiver self-care; 4) providing everyday care; and 5) dealing with behavioral symptoms of dementia.
