本项研究的目的是 1）提升家庭照顾者的护理技能；2）缓解作为家庭照顾者在照顾阿兹海默症患者时所面临的压力与挑战。  

Objectives of Study：

The aims of this study was 1) to enhance the caregiving skills of family caregivers and 2) to alleviate the stress and challenges of being a family caregiver while caring for a person with dementia in rural China.

Exclusion criteria：

Interested participants who have medical and/or psychiatric disorders that may compromise their participation in group-based education sessions will be excluded.

该小组的参与者每周将在新津第二人民医院的会议室连续接受 5 次 1 小时的小组教育课程。参与者将分为两组，以促进积极参与与小组讨论。五节标准课程包括 1)理解认知障碍症及其对日常生活的影响；2)如何有效地照顾患有认知障碍症家人的日常生活；3)如何安排患有认知障碍症家人的社交活动；4)如何应对患有认知障碍症家人的行为及情绪问题；5)如何提升家居安全。

干预措施代码：

Intervention：

Participants in this group will receive five consecutive weekly 1 hour educational sessions in a group setting in a conference room at XMH. Participants will be divided into two groups to promote active participation. The five standard sessions are comprised of: 1) general information of dementia; 2) being a dementia caregiver; 3) caregiver self-care; 4) providing everyday care; and 5) dealing with behavioral symptoms of dementia.
