Objectives of Study: |
This study targets healthy university students as research participants and utilizes seaweed-based dietary intervention to observe the continuous variation trends in urinary iodine and salivary iodine concentrations. The aim is to investigate the absorption and metabolism of iodine from fresh seaweed and to evaluate the impact of seaweed intake on thyroid and gut function, thereby providing scientific evidence for the appropriate consumption of seaweed in the general population. |

|
排除标准: |
1.有严重疾病史或正在接受治疗性药物治疗;洗脱期24h尿碘水平>300ug/L或<100ug/L; 2.有甲状腺疾病(包括甲状腺结节和甲状腺激素水平异常)、代谢性疾病、胃肠道或慢性疾病史者; 3.干预前1周内食用富碘食品(海带、紫菜、带鱼和海苔等海产品)或者服用过含碘药物,近一个月食用碘营养补充剂/保健品(复合维生素、营养补充剂等); 4.对海产品过敏;不吃海带;不吃或限制吃含碘食物; 5.过量饮酒(超过300ml啤酒、100ml葡萄酒、30ml白酒/天); 6.有特殊饮食习惯,或饮食习惯极不规律者; 7.6个月内未进行手术,4 个月内未献血、输血或大量失血; 8.最近6个月内未接触过含碘的x线/ ct造影剂; 9.最近1个月使用含碘皮肤消毒剂等。 |

Exclusion criteria: |
1.History of severe diseases or undergoing treatment with therapeutic drugs; 24-hour urinary iodine levels during the washout period >300 µg/L or <100 µg/L. 2.History of thyroid diseases (including thyroid nodules or abnormal thyroid hormone levels), metabolic disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, or chronic illnesses. 3.Consumption of iodine-rich foods (e.g., seaweed, nori, ribbonfish, laver) or iodine-containing medications within one week prior to the intervention, or intake of iodine nutritional supplements/health products (e.g., multivitamins, dietary supplements) within the past month. 4.Allergic to seafood; refusal to eat seaweed; avoidance or limitation of iodine-rich foods. 5.Excessive alcohol consumption (more than 300 mL of beer, 100 mL of wine, or 30 mL of spirits per day). 6.Special dietary habits or highly irregular eating patterns. 7.No surgery within the past 6 months, no blood donation, transfusion, or significant blood loss within the past 4 months. 8.No exposure to iodine-containing X-ray/CT contrast agents within the past 6 months. 9.No use of iodine-containing skin disinfectants within the past month. |

Random sequences are generated by an independent statistician in the research team using computer software (e.g., the random number generator in R). Randomization was carried out using a simple randomization method, and subjects were randomly assigned to the control group or different doses of intervention groups (30 g, 60 g, 90 g, 120 g kelp intake group). |
