Evaluating the effect of combined intervention with a high-protein drink and physical exercise on the growth and development in school-aged children

纳入标准：

Inclusion criteria

排除标准：

1）对产品过敏；2）超重、肥胖或重度肥胖；3）已经月经初潮和首次遗精；4）在干预期，经常参与除试验要求以外的其他类型的运动；5）目前正在服用治疗心血管或代谢性疾病的药物；6）一个月内出现病毒或其他感染；7）具有以下病史或诊断为：胃肠道疾病、肝病、肾病、内分泌疾病、血液疾病、呼吸系统和心血管疾病、骨质疏松或关节炎等疾病；8）正在或曾经接受过任何营养疗法，包括在筛查前3个月内服用蛋白质补充剂或促进运动能力的营养素；9）筛查前3个月内住院；10）其他经研究者判断为不适宜参与项目的情况。

Exclusion criteria：

1)allergies to high protein drink supplemented in the study. 2) overweight, obesity or severe obesity.3) menarche and first nocturnal emission occurred.4) regularly participating in other types of sports except exercise asked for the study.5) Taking drugs to treat cardiovascular or metabolic diseases.6) virus or other infection in recent one month.7) gastrointestinal disease, liver and kidney diseases, endocrine diseases, hematological diseases, Respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, osteoporosis and arthritis. 8)any nutritional therapy, including protein supplements or nutrients for improving sports within 3 months; 9) Hospitalization within 3 months. 10) other unsuitable situations for the project.

本研究采用整群随机分组方法。在甘肃省定西市陇西县选取一个小学。在该小学4年级、5年级和6年级中，每年级随机抽取两个班，其中一个班为干预组，另一个班为对照组。由研究人员使用伪随机数生成器产生随机数列，作为随机分组的依据。

Randomization Procedure (please state who generates the random number sequence and by what method)：

This study used a cluster-randomization approach. We selected a primary school in Longxi County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province. In grades 4, 5 and 6 of the primary school, two classes were randomly selected for each grade, one of which was the intervention group and the other was the control group. Researchers used pseudo-random number generators to generate random number sequences as the basis for random grouping.

数据采集和管理（说明：数据采集和管理由两部分组成，一为病例记录表(Case Record Form, CRF)，二为电子采集和管理系统(Electronic Data Capture, EDC)，如ResMan即为一种基于互联网的EDC：	数据采集：采用“结局指标记录表”在基线、干预第5周、干预第10周记录每位受试对象的主要和次要结局指标，并由记录人签名、记录日期（说明：本研究结局指标不含疾病患病信息，故未采用病例记录表（Case Record Form，CRF））。数据管理：使用电子采集和管理系统，包含epidata 3.1和SAS 9.4软件包。采用epidata 9.1软件包双录入问卷数据和结局指标记录表，并对录入数据进行质控。采用SAS 9.4软件包对录入的数据进行清洗、存储、管理和统计分析。
Data collection and Management (A standard data collection and management system include a CRF and an electronic data capture：	Data collection: the 'Outcome Indicator Record Form' was used to record primary and secondary outcome indicators for each subject at baseline, intervention week 5, and intervention week 10,respectively. The record form should be signed and dated by the recorder. (Note: Disease information is not included in this study's outcome indicators; therefore, Case Report Forms (CRFs) were not utilized). Data management: employ electronic data collection and management systems, such as epidata 3.1 and SAS 9.4 software packages, to facilitate efficient handling of questionnaire data and outcome indicator record forms. Implement double data entry using the epidata 9.1 software package to ensure accuracy, followed by rigorous quality control measures on the entered data. Additionally, utilize the SAS 9.4 software package for comprehensive cleaning, storage, management, and statistical analysis of the collected data."
