研究目的：

评价疟原虫免疫疗法（血源感染良性间日疟）治疗晚期非小细胞肺癌的安全性和有效性

Objectives of Study：

Evaluate the safety and the effectiveness of Plasmodium immunotherapy (Blood-stage infection of P.vivax) for advanced non-small cell lung cancer

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

Plasmodium vivax

纳入标准：

Inclusion criteria

1. Aged 18-65 years, male or female;
2. Unresectable stage III or IV non-small cell lung cancer, diagnosed by histological and radiological findings (UICC, Seventh Ed.), and of any histological subtype. Cancer staging during the initial diagnosis must be confirmed by radiographic findings (CT and/or MRI and/or PET-CT);
3. During study treatment, the patient should not receive other treatments, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, other biological therapy, physical therapy, traditional Chinese medicine, and so on
4. More than four weeks since the end of targeted therapy, or radiotherapy and chemotherapy (concurrent or sequential)
5. After the initial radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the objective response time is <=4 weeks, according to the RECIST criteria (i.e., poor efficacy of initial treatment);
6. Expected survival > 16 weeks;
7. ECGO score of 0 or 1;
8. PLT >=100×10^9/L, WBC>=4×10^9/L, and HGB >=100g/L; no significant morphological abnormalities of red blood cells, or anemia (iron deficiency anemia, autoimmune hemolytic anemia, thalassemia, etc.);
9. The patient is willing to receive Plasmodium immunotherapy and is able to sign the informed consent;
10. For female patients: the result of a pregnancy test must be negative at screening. All subjects must consent to use birth control methods during treatment and for two months after discharge;
11. The subject is willing to follow the in-hospital exam and treatment and follow-up schedule;
12. The patient can return for regular scheduled follow-up visits during the 2-year follow-up period;
13. The subject agrees that the investigators may report and publish the results of this clinical study.

排除标准：

1. 手术治疗后或接受其他形式治疗未超过4周；
2. 活动性慢性肺部疾病(支气管哮喘、结核、其它情况引起的低氧血症)；肺部转移性肿瘤；合并其它肿瘤；
3. 脑转移；
4. 自身免疫性疾病患者或其他免疫缺陷疾病者；
5. 长期应用类固醇药物或免疫抑制剂的患者；
6. 严重的血红蛋白病或严重的G6PD缺乏症患者；
7. 有临床症状的活动性或慢性肝炎者；
8. 肝功能异常者：ALT(天门冬氨酸转移酶)＞2.5倍正常值上限(ULN)、AST(丙氨酸转移酶)＞2.5倍ULN、胆红素＞1.5倍ULN；
9. 肾功能异常者：血肌酐≥1.5倍ULN；
10. 慢性心脏疾病主要指近期（一年内）发生过心肌梗塞、严重的心律不齐、心脏衰竭，主动脉瘤；
11. 脾切除术后或巨脾症；
12. 怀孕、哺乳期的妇女；
13. 近3个月参加过其他临床研究者；
14. 研究者认为不适合参加该项临床研究的任何情况。

Exclusion criteria：

1. Total <=4 weeks after surgical treatment or other forms of treatments;
2. Active chronic lung diseases (hypoxemia due to bronchial asthma, tuberculosis, other conditions); lung metastatic tumor; other comorbid tumors;
3. Brain metastases;
4. Patients with autoimmune disease or other immunodeficiency diseases;
5. Patients taking long-term steroids or immunosuppressants;
6. Patients with severe hemoglobin disease or severe G6PD deficiency;
7. Patients with active or chronic symptomatic hepatitis;
8. Liver impairment: ALT > 2.5 x ULN, AST > 2.5 x ULN, bilirubin > 1.5 x ULN;
9. Renal impairment: serum creatinine >=1.5 x ULN;
10. Patients with chronic heart disease, primarily those with recent (within a year) myocardial infarction, serious arrhythmias, heart failure, or aortic aneurysm;
11. Patients with splenectomy or splenomegaly;
12. Pregnant and nursing women;
13. Patients who have participated in other clinical studies during the previous three months;
14. Any condition that makes the subject ineligible to participate (in the opinion of the investigator).
