To evaluate the clinical effect of vagus nerve stimulation in the treatment of treatment-resistant depression.

纳入标准：

Inclusion criteria

排除标准：

无精神分裂症、分裂情感性障碍、任何其他精神病性障碍或包括精神病性特征的当前严重抑郁发作史；无快速循环双相情感障碍史；既往无VNS使用史。

Exclusion criteria：

No history of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, any other psychotic disorder, or a current major depressive episode that included psychotic features; no history of rapid-cycling bipolar disorder; and no previous use of VNS.
