研究目的:

该研究的目的是评估基于胜任力的结构化痴呆照护培训项目对中国大陆养老机构工作人员痴呆照护胜任力、知识、态度和照护方式的影响。  

Objectives of Study:

This study aims to develop and evaluate the effects of a competency-based culturally sensitive education program on dementia care among care home staff in Mainland China. The objectives of this study are: 1. To evaluate the effect of the education program on care home staffs sense of competence in dementia; 2. To evaluate the effect of the education program on care home staffs knowledge in dementia; 3. To evaluate the effect of the education program on care home staff’s attitude towards dementia care; 4. To evaluate the effect of the education program on care home staff’s care approach towards dementia care; 5. To evaluate the effect of the education program on severity of BPSD of residents with dementia; 6. To understand care home staff’s experience with the education program.

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail:

 

纳入标准:

养老机构纳入标准:1.有10个及以上的痴呆症人士居住;2.至少有10个以上的工作人员照顾痴呆症人士;3.在研究开始前3个月和研究期间没有为员工提供痴呆症相关培训的计划;4.自愿参与本次研究。
研究对象的纳入标准:1.为痴呆症人士提供照顾;2.能够说和阅读中文;3.自愿参与本次研究。

Inclusion criteria

The inclusion criteria of the settings are care homes: (a) which have at least 10 people with dementia living in; (b) with at least 10 care staff working for people with dementia; (c) which do not have any educational activities for staff in dementia three months before study and staff training plan during the whole study period; (d) whose management level agrees to participate.
All the care home staff will be recruited from the participating care homes. Care staff refer to all kinds of staff who providing care for people with dementia, including nurses, doctors, care assistants and other staff. Participants should meet the inclusion criteria, including: (a) working for people with dementia; (b) speaking and reading Chinese; (c) being willing to participate in the study.

排除标准:

在研究开始前3个月或者研究期间计划有痴呆症相关培训的人。

Exclusion criteria:

We exclude those who has any educational activities in dementia three months before study and have training plan during the whole study period.
