研究目的：

探讨手术前咀嚼口香糖是否能缓解甲状腺切除术后的咽喉痛。  

Objectives of Study：

To explore whether chewing gum before surgery can relieve patients' sore throat after total thyroidectomy.

药物成份或治疗方案详述：

 

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

 

纳入标准：

美国麻醉医师学会（ASA）的I型或II型身体状况患者，年龄在18-65岁，体重指数（BMI）＜ 30，正在接受择期全甲状腺切除术。

Inclusion criteria

American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I or II patients who were 18–65 years of age with body mass index (BMI) <30 and who were undergoing elective total thyroidectomy surgery.

排除标准：

甲状腺实质癌大于2厘米； 甲状腺癌，甲状腺肿大或甲状腺延长； 术前咽喉疼痛，声音嘶哑，吞咽困难，哮喘，胃食管反流，咽或食道功能受损，或口腔或咽部手术史； 语言理解能力不足； 苯丙酮尿症（口香糖中甜味剂阿斯巴甜的禁忌症）； 全口上颌或下颌假牙（不能嚼口香糖）； 最近有非甾体类抗炎药的使用，有上呼吸道感染，在过去一周内吸烟和在手术前2周内接受类固醇治疗的历史。

Exclusion criteria：

1. Parenchymal carcinoma of the thyroid greater than 2 cm;
2. Thyroid cancer with thyroid enlargement or extension of the thyroid;
3. Preoperative throat pain, hoarseness, dysphagia, asthma, gastroesophageal reflux, impaired pharyngeal or esophageal function, or oral or Pharyngeal surgery history;
4. Inadequate language comprehension;
5. Phenylketonuria (contraindications for the sweetener aspartame in chewing gum);
6. Full mouth maxillary or lower dentures (cannot chew gum);
7. Recent use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, there was a history of upper respiratory tract infection, smoking in the past week, or steroid treatment within 2 weeks before surgery.
