To assess the effects of an 8-week CBT-based mental health elective course on college students' positive psychological qualities, including emotion regulation, resilience, and well-being.

纳入标准:

干预组纳入标准:苏州科技大学在读本科生,年满18周岁;非2026届毕业班学生;意识清楚,能理解研究内容,具备知情同意能力;本学期选修通识教育选修课《认知与情绪管理》,未选修其他心理学类课程。 对照组纳入标准:苏州科技大学在读本科生,年满18周岁;非2026届毕业班学生;意识清楚,能理解研究内容,具备知情同意能力;本学期未选修任何心理学类选修课程。

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria for the intervention group: Undergraduate students at Suzhou University of Science and Technology, aged 18 years or older; not graduating in 2026; with clear consciousness, able to understand the study information, and capable of providing informed consent; enrolled in the general education elective course "Cognition and Emotion Management" this semester without enrolling in any other psychology-related courses. Inclusion criteria for the control group: Undergraduate students at Suzhou University of Science and Technology, aged 18 years or older; not graduating in 2026; with clear consciousness, able to understand the study information, and capable of providing informed consent; not enrolled in any psychology-related elective courses this semester.

Exclusion criteria:

Exclusion criteria for the intervention group: Currently receiving professional psychological counseling or psychiatric treatment, or experiencing a psychological crisis; in a fragile physical or mental state that makes it difficult to participate stably in continuous activities; psychology majors; and any other conditions deemed temporarily unsuitable for participation in this study after comprehensive assessment. Exclusion criteria for the control group: Currently receiving professional psychological counseling or psychiatric treatment, or experiencing a psychological crisis; in a fragile physical or mental state that makes it difficult to participate stably in continuous activities; psychology majors; and any other conditions deemed temporarily unsuitable for participation in this study after comprehensive assessment.

干预组接受为期8周、每周1次、每次90分钟的线下团体CBT心理健康课程。课程内容涵盖:情绪识别与三成分模型(第1-2周)、情绪表达(第3周)、认知三角与自动思维识别(第4-5周)、认知重评与苏格拉底式提问(第6周)、行为激活与行为实验(第7周)、正念呼吸与接纳练习(第8周)。课程由研究者本人授课,配有固定PPT教案与标准化工作表单。包含两次结构化家庭作业:①情绪日志(三栏表:情境-自动思维-替代反应);②行为实验记录表。每周考勤并收集课堂反馈条。

Intervention:

The intervention group received an 8-week, face-to-face, group-based CBT mental health course, with one 90-minute session per week. The course content covered: emotion identification and the three-component model (Weeks 1–2), emotional expression (Week 3), the cognitive triangle and identification of automatic thoughts (Weeks 4–5), cognitive reappraisal and Socratic questioning (Week 6), behavioral activation and behavioral experiments (Week 7), and mindful breathing and acceptance practice (Week 8). The course was delivered by the researcher using standardized PowerPoint slides and workbooks. Two structured homework assignments were included: an emotion log (three-column table: situation–automatic thought–alternative response); a behavioral experiment record form. Attendance was recorded weekly, and brief classroom feedback forms were collected after each session.
