研究目的：

本研究旨在通过分析影像学特征评估关节镜下踝距腓前韧带（ATFL）修补术后韧带的形态及结构特征，并探讨其与患者临床功能恢复之间的关系。通过术后磁共振成像（MRI）及超声等影像学检查，对ATFL的连续性、厚度、信号变化及张力等特征进行综合评价，并结合功能评分量表（如FAAM、CAIT等）及患者重返运动情况，分析影像学指标与临床结局之间的相关性。进一步探索具有潜在预测价值的影像学参数，为客观评估ATFL修补术后韧带愈合质量及患者功能恢复提供影像学依据，从而为术后康复指导及临床预后评估提供参考。  

Objectives of Study：

The aim of this study is to evaluate the morphological and structural characteristics of the anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) following arthroscopic repair by analysing imaging features, and to investigate the relationship between these characteristics and clinical functional recovery in patients. Through postoperative imaging examinations such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound, a comprehensive evaluation of the ATFL’s continuity, thickness, signal changes and tension will be conducted. This will be combined with functional scoring scales (such as the FAAM and CAIT) and patients’ return to sport to analyse the correlation between imaging indicators and clinical outcomes. To further identify imaging parameters with potential predictive value, thereby providing an imaging basis for the objective assessment of ligament healing quality and functional recovery following ATFL repair, and to offer guidance for postoperative rehabilitation and clinical prognosis assessment.

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

 

纳入标准：

1）初诊患者，年龄 18-50岁； 2）在中山大学附属第六医院接受了ATFL修补术（关节镜下改良的 Brostr?m 术 式）后12个月以上的患者； 3）严格依照中山六院ATFL修补术后康复计划进行康复训练者； 4）外踝扭伤与ATFL修补术间隔2-4个月者；

Inclusion criteria

1. First-time patients aged between 18 and 50; 2. Patients who underwent ATFL repair (modified Brostr?m procedure under arthroscopy) at the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University more than 12 months prior; 3. Patients who have strictly followed the post-operative rehabilitation programme for ATFL repair at the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University; 4. Patients for whom the interval between the lateral ankle sprain and the ATFL repair was between 2 and 4 months.

排除标准：

1）住院期间随访资料不全者； 2）不能对术后功能评价予配合者； 3）ATFL缺失的患者； 4）既往患侧以及对侧踝关节韧带损伤及/或手术史 5）伴有患肢神经肌肉损伤的患者 6）伴有踝关节 III-IV 级的软骨损伤

Exclusion criteria：

1. Patients with incomplete follow-up data during hospitalisation; 2. Patients unable to cooperate with postoperative functional assessment; 3. Patients with an absent ATFL; 4. A history of ligament injury and/or surgery in the affected or contralateral ankle; 5. Patients with concomitant neuromuscular injury in the affected limb; 6. Patients with Grade III-IV cartilage damage in the ankle joint.

Data collection and Management (A standard data collection and management system include a CRF and an electronic data capture：

This study will extract patients’ demographic information, physical measurements and history of sports injuries from the hospital’s electronic medical record system and picture archiving and communication system , and will collect patient data through questionnaires and on-site assessments; data will be managed by retaining paper copies whilst also scanning them to create electronic versions.
