1. To develop and establish a universal multi-module health education web platform tailored for university students. 2. To validate the educational efficacy of the platform’s modular design through a dedicated HIV/AIDS prevention section, titled "For Love, Against AIDS," as a representative case.

纳入标准：

1.经普通高等学校招生全国统一考试入学，且目前就读于北京市高校的大学本科在读学生； 2.具有正常读写能力，可独立完成问卷填写； 3.签署知情同意书（详见附件2），自愿参与，能积极配合者；

Inclusion criteria

1. students enrolled through the national college entrance examination and currently attending undergraduate programs in Beijing; 2.possessing normal reading and writing abilities to complete the questionnaire independently; 3.having signed an informed consent form, willing to participate and able to cooperate actively.

排除标准：

1.生物类和医学类专业学生； 2.正在参加或者近3个月参与过其他类似研究者； 3.自身合并有严重心、脑、肾、眼或神经系统疾病而无力阅读和填写者； 4.无法与人正常沟通交流者； 5.在研究过程中，患者因其他原因主动要求推出研究； 6.心理问题严重，需要心理医生进行干预和治疗者； 7.自身的某些基础疾病病情恶化不能继续参与研究者。

Exclusion criteria：

1. Students specialising in biological or medical disciplines; 2. Individuals currently participating in, or having participated in similar studies within the past three months; 3. Those with severe concomitant cardiac, cerebral, renal, ocular, or neurological conditions rendering them incapable of reading and completing the forms; 4. Individuals unable to communicate effectively with others; 5. Patients who voluntarily withdraw from the study during its course for other reasons; 6. Individuals with severe psychological issues requiring intervention and treatment by a psychiatrist; 7. Participants whose underlying medical conditions deteriorate to the extent that continued study participation is no longer feasible.

Intervention：

In this study, we designed a three-week intervention experiment to empirically verify the effectiveness of the various modules of the web platform in health education for university students. The day before the experiment starts, unique usernames and passwords will be provided to the participants in the intervention group, ensuring they can familiarise themselves with the operation and basic content of the web platform. To enhance interactivity while maintaining anonymity, participants will create pseudonyms and join the HIV/AIDS topic module group. The intervention process is divided into the following stages: Week 1: Video education module opened. Participants will watch educational videos to enhance their basic understanding of HIV/AIDS. At the end of the first week, a phased test questionnaire will be made available to assess participant’' understanding of the video content. The questionnaire will be accessible twice, with each session limited to 20 minutes. Participants who do not meet the standards will be required to retake the questionnaire during the second opening. Week 2: This stage will open the gaming module while keeping the video module accessible. After completing the game tasks, participants will unlock the second phase test questionnaire. Again, the questionnaire will be available twice, with each session limited to 20 minutes, and participants who fail the first test will need to retake it. Week 3: In the final week, we will introduce the virtual community discussion module. The modules from the previous two weeks will remain open for review and deeper understanding. In the community module, users can freely exchange and discuss the content of the educational videos, gaming experience, or share personal experiences to promote deeper learning and interaction.

Intervention：

In this study, the control group adhered to a non-intervention principle to serve as a baseline for comparison with the intervention group. Participants in the control group were recommended to independently learn about HIV/AIDS using existing resources available on public websites. It is important to note that the educational materials available to the control group did not contain the same information offered by the specialized modules of the web platform used by the intervention group. To monitor and verify compliance with the learning guidelines, participants in the control group were required to complete weekly check-ins. At the end of each week, participants were asked to complete a knowledge assessment questionnaire. These questionnaires were administered via a private link sent through WeChat by the research staff using the Wenjuanxing platform. The questionnaires for both the control group and the intervention group were sourced from the same question pool to ensure consistency and comparability in the assessment of knowledge gains.

Randomization Procedure (please state who generates the random number sequence and by what method)：

Before randomization, participants were notified that they would be allocated to either a 3-week intervention group or a waitlist control group. The subjects were randomly assigned into groups using Excel 2016. In cell ‘A’, the word ‘Number’ was entered, followed by numbers 1 to 146. In cell ‘B’, ‘Random Number’ was entered, and the random number generation formula: RANDBETWEEN(1,146) was used to generate 146 random numbers, which were then fixed. In cell ‘C’, ‘Group’ was entered, with odd numbers designated for the intervention group and even numbers for the control group. This study was blinded to the subjects; they were individually communicated with upon inclusion, only informed about the tasks to be completed, without disclosure of their group status. Additionally, the web platform was secured with account passwords and IP login restrictions to prevent cross-contamination between groups. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the intervention group or the control group. Throughout the entire intervention process, participants in the intervention group and the control group will be prohibited from communicating with each other. They will be placed in different chat groups and will not be informed whether they belong to the intervention group or the control group. This measure ensures that participants do not know their group assignment.

Data collection and Management (A standard data collection and management system include a CRF and an electronic data capture：

Data were collected from volunteers recruited from selected universities and departments. Participants completed a baseline knowledge questionnaire on HIV/AIDS (Appendix 4), and those within the target range were enrolled. Prior to the intervention, researchers explained the study purpose and procedures to participants, ensured confidentiality and anonymity, and obtained written informed consent. Throughout the intervention, participant interactions with the platform were automatically recorded and stored via the platform’s backend system. After the intervention concluded, the data were retrieved for analysis. A dedicated database was established using Epidata 3.1, and double data entry with cross-checking was conducted to ensure accuracy.
