Objectives of Study：

To evaluate the effect of a motivational interviewing based, family-centered education program on advance care planning engagement among people with advanced cancer and their caregivers

药物成份或治疗方案详述：

 

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

 

纳入标准：

晚期肿瘤患者： a. ≥18岁 b. 对病情知情 c. 预期生存期：3-12月 d. 可提名一位家属/重要的人共同参与（潜在的医疗代理决策者） e. 可普通话沟通 f. 可提供知情同意 家属（不仅指传统意义上的家庭成员，还包括任何与患者关系密切或重要的人，包括直系亲属、近亲或伴侣)： a. ≥18岁 b. 在神经认知上能够沟通和做决定 c. 可普通话沟通 d. 可提供知情同意

Inclusion criteria

Patients with advanced cancer: a. >=18 years or older b. Aware of their cancer diagnosis c. Have the life expectancy: 3-12 months d. Able to nominate a willing caregiver who would involve in their medical care discussion e. Able to communicate in Mandarin and read in the simplified Chinese f. Able to give consent Caregivers in this context refer not only the family members in the traditional sense, but also any persons close to or significant to the patients (including immediate family, next-of-kin or partner): a. >=18 years or older b. Neuro-cognitively able to communicate and make decision c. Able to communicate in Mandarin and read in the simplified Chinese d. Able to give consent

排除标准：

如果患者和家属存在以下情况将不被纳入： a. 存在影响沟通和决策能力的任何障碍(如晚期痴呆、耳聋或失语症)。

Exclusion criteria：

Patients and caregivers will be ineligible if they are: a. Presence of any impairments influencing communication and decision-making capacity identified (e.g. advanced dementia, deafness or aphasia).
