研究目的：

2型糖尿病是全球主要的致残和致死原因。世界卫生组织估计，到2035年，糖尿病患者数量将增加至近6亿人。抗生素作为最常见的处方药物，已经发现可能会影响肠道细菌的种类并导致菌群多样性减少。一些研究阐明了这种机制可能增加患糖尿病的风险。我们团队之前基于美国NHS和NHS II队列发现长期使用抗生素会增加2型糖尿病患病风险。然而，这种关联在中国人群中尚未得到证实。我们希望设计一项病例对照研究，探索中国人群青少年时期长期使用抗生素与2型糖尿病风险之间的关联。  

Objectives of Study：

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimated that there will increase to almost 600 million patients with diabetes by the year 2035. Antibiotics as one of the most widely prescribed medications, it was found that antibiotics may affect the decrease of richness or diversity of the gut bacteria. There are some studies that clarified this mechanism may increase the risk of diabetes. Based on our team before work, we found there is an association between the long-term use of antibiotics and the risk of type 2 diabetes in the Nurses’ Health Study and NHS II. However, this association was never verified in the Chinese population, we want to design a case-control study to explore the association between long-term antibiotic use in early life and the risk of type 2 diabetes in the Chinese population.

纳入标准：

（1）2021-2022年间在兰州大学第一医院国家标准化代谢性疾病管理中心确诊的新发2型糖尿病患者，同时在兰州大学第二医院招募未患有糖尿病的健康对照人群； （2）同意参加研究。

Inclusion criteria

(1) Between 2021 and 2022, newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients were identified at the National Standardized Metabolic Disease Management Center in the First Hospital of Lanzhou University. Simultaneously, a healthy control group without diabetes was recruited at the Second Hospital of Lanzhou University; (2) Agree to participate in the study.

排除标准：

（1）孕妇或哺乳期妇女. （2）患有精神疾病或阿茨海默症。 （3）无法确诊是否患有糖尿病的人群。 （4）1型糖尿病患者。

Exclusion criteria：

(1) Pregnant or nursing woman. (2) Suffering from a mental illness or Alzheimer's disease. (3) Population unable to confirm whether they have diabetes. (4) Type 1 diabetes patients.
