研究目的：

Mindful Parents, Happy Kids aims at training up local Mindful Parenting facilitators to deliver mindful parenting course to local parents. The project also aims at establishing local tools, including sound tracks and information booklet for a wider and more sustainable development. Ultimately, we hope to increase parental well-being, improve parent-child relationship, and mental well-being of children.  

Objectives of Study：

Mindful Parents, Happy Kids aims at training up local Mindful Parenting facilitators to deliver mindful parenting course to local parents. The project also aims at establishing local tools, including sound tracks and information booklet for a wider and more sustainable development. Ultimately, we hope to increase parental well-being, improve parent-child relationship, and mental well-being of children.

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

 

纳入标准：

Parents experiencing parenting stress with children age between 4 and 17 will be included. Those with a total score of 46 or above of PSS which suggests high level of parenting stress will be included

Inclusion criteria

Parents experiencing parenting stress with children age between 4 and 17 will be included. Those with a total score of 46 or above of PSS which suggests high level of parenting stress will be included

排除标准：

1) diagnosed psychiatric disorders such as psychotic, substance use disorders;
2) suicidality such as suicidal intention or plan;
3) physical conditions that leading to constraints in participation;
4) taking any mindfulness and parenting related course/training.

Exclusion criteria：

数据采集和管理（说明：数据采集和管理由两部分组成，一为病例记录表(Case Record Form, CRF)，二为电子采集和管理系统(Electronic Data Capture, EDC)，如ResMan即为一种基于互联网的EDC：

The study purpose and procedures will be explained in details to study participants. Consent form will be signed before data collection. Assessments will be conducted at baseline, after the intervention and 3 months after the intervention. In the end, a total of 400 parents including those in the trial (n=240) will be followed up every two years up to 10 years after intervention. Telephone reminders will be provided at least three times if the questionnaire is not returned or answered. A return envelope with stamp on it will be provided to them in each mail. Only for those who may have difficulties in mailing, we will consider to collect the information through other methods such as telephone survey. Original data will be locked in a password protected computer with access only to an authorized research personnel. She will be responsible for safekeeping of the personal data during and after the study.
