The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a combined type of exercise intervention (i.e., aerobic, and neurocognitive exercise) with moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) level on executive functions (EFs) and sleep quality in children with ADHD.  

Objectives of Study：

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a combined type of exercise intervention (i.e., aerobic, and neurocognitive exercise) with moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) level on executive functions (EFs) and sleep quality in children with ADHD.

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

 

纳入标准：

(1) 6–12 years of age;
(2) ADHD diagnosis from a psychiatrist based on the DSM-5 criteria [2], a standard structured interview according to the Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia for School-Age Children-Present and lifetime Version (K-SADS-PL) [44, 45];
(3) having an intelligence quotient (IQ) of more than 80, measured by the Chinese Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, fourth edition [45];
(4) no concurrent medication treatment for at least six months before the intervention;
(5) physical ability to participate in the intervention and ability to follow instructions;
(6) no additional extra-curriculum physical activity training.

Inclusion criteria

(1) 6–12 years of age;

(3) failure to follow instructions (i.e., severe oppositional defiant disorder).
