研究目的：

1.本研究的首要目的是研究手术与非手术治疗对连枷胸患者住院30天内发生肺部感染的效果是否存在差异。 2.次要的研究目的是调查手术与非手术治疗在连枷胸患者下述结局是否存在差异，包括：住院期间死亡、机械通气的需求及天数、气管切开的需求、住院时间和住ICU时间、胸部疼痛改善、肺功能的改善、手术相关的并发症、住院费用及生活质量评分。  

Objectives of Study：

1. The primary objective of this study was to investigate whether there is a difference in the effect of surgical versus non-surgical treatment on the occurrence of pulmonary infections in patients with flail chest within 30 days of hospitalization. 2. The secondary aim of the study was to investigate whether there is a difference between surgical and non-surgical treatment on the following outcomes in patients with flail chest: death during hospitalization, need for and days of mechanical ventilation, need for tracheotomy, length of hospitalization and ICU stay, improvement in chest pain, improvement in lung function, surgery-related complications, hospitalization costs, and quality of life scores.

药物成份或治疗方案详述：

 

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

 

纳入标准：

（1）年龄≥18岁；
（2）3根及以上相邻的肋骨发生两处及以上骨折，且局部胸壁因缺乏支撑而出现反常呼吸的患者。

Inclusion criteria

(1) Age ≥ 18 years.
(2) Patients with two or more fractures in 3 or more adjacent ribs and paradoxical breathing due to lack of chest wall support.

排除标准：

（1） 在院前阶段死亡的患者；
（2）未接受院内治疗的患者；
（3）因心肺复苏导致的多发肋骨骨折患者；
（4）由颅脑、脊柱损伤导致呼吸功能障碍而需要进行机械通气的患者；
（5）治疗中途从其他医院转入的患者；
（6）治疗中途转到其他医院的患者；
（7）无法获取与本研究相关的人口统计学资料及理化检查资料的患者；
（8）合并先天性胸廓畸形、严重脊柱侧弯、肿瘤、重要脏器功能衰竭等可能影响研究结果的疾病；
（9）不配合治疗，或对随访依从性低的患者。

Exclusion criteria：

(1) Patients who died in the pre-hospital phase.
(2) Patients who did not receive in-hospital treatment.
(3) Patients with multiple rib fractures due to cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
(4) Patients who require mechanical ventilation due to respiratory dysfunction caused by cranial or spinal injury
(5) Patients transferred from other hospitals in the middle of treatment.
(6) Patients who were transferred to other hospitals in the middle of treatment.
(7) Patients for whom demographic data and physical and chemical examination data relevant to this study are not available
(8) Patients with combined congenital thoracic deformities, severe scoliosis, tumors, vital organ failure, and other diseases that may affect the results of the study.
(9) Patients who do not cooperate with treatment or have low compliance with follow-up.
