研究目的:

这个项目旨在建立大脑活动,肌肉活动,以及年轻人和老年人的平衡表现之间的联系。一项具有可重复措施的临床试验,将分别在以下场景捕获和比较同时发生的大脑和肌肉活动以及各段身体运动: 1)自然站立,2)站立时存在实验诱发的跌倒风险,以及3)站立时存在实验诱发的跌倒风险以及维持平衡的提示 实验将分别在老年跌倒者,老年非跌倒者和年轻人中进行。  

Objectives of Study:

This project aims to establish the relationship between the brain activity, muscular activity, and balance performance in young and older adults. A clinical trial with a repeated-measures, three-group design will be conducted to capture and compare the simultaneous brain and muscle activity and the segmental body motion when 1) standing naturally, 2) standing with experimentally induced falling risks, and 3) standing with both experimentally induced falling risks and balance-improving cues, among elderly recurrent fallers, elderly non-fallers, and young adults.

纳入标准:

老年人应为居住在社区中的65岁或65岁以上的老年人,年轻人应为18至35岁。

Inclusion criteria

The elderly subjects shall be community-dwelling older adults aged 65 or over, and the young subjects shall age between 18 to 35 years old.

排除标准:

实验前6个月内下肢关节有活跃的炎症或病理变化,严重的情绪问题,严重的视觉空间功能障碍和活跃的医学问题的受试者将被排除在本研究之外。

Exclusion criteria:

Subjects with active inflammatory or pathologic changes in lower-extremity joints in the previous 6 months before the experiment, serious emotional problems, severe visual spatial dysfunction, and active medical problems will be excluded from this study.
