研究目的：

1、确定NMDAR脑炎和健康对照之间微生物群、代谢物（包括激素、氨基酸、外源性物质和脂质）和细胞因子的差异水平； 2、通过使用多变量建模整合广泛的临床表型、微生物组学、代谢组学和细胞因子数据，以了解肠道微生物生态系统； 3、分析这些信息是否与进一步复发的高风险和更差的临床结果相关。  

Objectives of Study：

1) Identify differential levels of microbiota, metabolites (ranging from hormones, amino acids, xenobiotics, and lipids) and cytokines between patients with NMDAR encephalitis and HCs; 2) Integrated extensive clinical phenotypic, microbiome, metabolomics, and cytokines data by using multivariate modeling to understand the gut microbial ecosystem, and its relevance, to NMDAR encephalitis; 3) Analyze if these information are associated with a high risk of further relapse and a worse clinical outcome.

纳入标准：

符合自身免疫性脑炎诊断标准的患者，新发的，未使用任何药物治疗的患者

Inclusion criteria

The participants were prospectively recruited from the follow-up of the Outcome of anti-NMDAR Encephalitis Study in Western China (ONE-WC) study, in which treatment naive patients with NMDAR encephalitis at initial onset had been diagnosed based on definitions of autoimmune encephalitis from a recent consensus statement.

排除标准：

患者和HCs的排除标准如下：1）受试者在取样前1个月内接受过抗生素或益生菌、益生元或任何免疫治疗；2）受试者在取样前1个月内经历过明显的腹痛、腹胀、腹泻或呼吸道感染；3） 入组前3个月内酗酒或其他物质（除烟草外）滥用或依赖；4）患有高血压、糖尿病等慢性病；5）其他自身免疫性疾病（类风湿关节炎、系统性红斑狼疮、1型糖尿病等）史；6）肠道手术史；7） 怀孕或哺乳期；以及8）神经精神疾病史[抑郁症、焦虑症、精神分裂症、多发性硬化症（MS）等]。

Exclusion criteria：

The exclusion criteria for both patients and HCs were as follows: 1) Participants had received treatment with an antibiotic or probiotics, prebiotics, any immune therapies within 1 months before sampling; 2) Participants had experienced significant abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea or respiratory tract infection in the previous 1 months; 3) Alcohol or other substance (other than tobacco) abuse or dependence within 3 months prior to enrollment; 4) Participants with chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes; 5) History of other autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, type 1 diabetes, etc.); 6) History of bowel surgery; 7) Pregnancy or lactation; and 8) History of neuropsychiatric disorders [depression, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, multiple sclerosis (MS), etc.].
