研究目的：

评价针刺远端取穴对治疗神经根型颈椎病的临床疗效。  

Objectives of Study：

To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Distal Point Acupuncture for Spondylosis with Radiculopathy

药物成份或治疗方案详述：

针灸取穴：颈椎夹脊穴、大椎，患侧后溪、中渚、外关 

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

Acupuncture Point selection: EX-B2 of cervical region,DU14；unilateral point (the painful side / sides): SI3,SJ3,SJ5 

纳入标准：

1）符合神经根型颈椎病诊断标准；
2）以颈痛为主诉者；
3）近3个月或以上曾有颈部疼痛、僵硬感发作,且达到平均每月发作一次的频率；
4）纳入时VAS>3分；
5）颈椎X线摄片（正侧位）符合颈椎病诊断标准中X片的要求，或者MRI、CT
显示有颈椎退变或颈椎间盘突出；
6）18～60岁；
7）近三个月内未接受过颈椎病针灸治疗；
8）理解并签署知情同意书。

Inclusion criteria

1) A confirmed diagnosis of cervical spondylosis in accordance with the diagnostic criteria published by Chinese Medical Association and referring to the International Classification of Diseases, 10th edition (ICD-10) codes: M47.2 (other spondylosis with radiculopathy);2) The chief complaint is neck pain;3) Episodes of neck pain and stiffness occurr at a frequency of at least once per month for the three months prior to study entry;4) Pain intensity of more than 3 points as measured on a visual analog scale (VAS);5) Diagnosis of cervical spondylosis supported by a cervical radiographic examination, such as anteroposterior and lateral X-rays, or magnetic resonance imaging/computed tomography scans showing cervical spine degeneration or cervical disc herniation;6) Age 18 to 60 years (both males and female patients are included);7) No acupuncture therapy within the 3 months prior to study entry;8) sign an informed consent document.

排除标准：

1）不符合神经根型颈椎病诊断标准；
2）患严重其他系统疾病如糖尿病、心脑血管疾病、肿瘤等，研究者认为不适合参加研究的；
3）有颈部外伤史，有颈部骨折或手术史，神 经功能缺损（如肌无力或脊髓神经反射检查异常），先天脊椎异常，系统性骨或关节疾病；
4）拒绝针灸者；
5）孕妇或哺乳妇女；
6）近三个月接受过颈椎病针灸治疗者；
7）目前正在使用颈椎病其他治疗（药物或非药物）

Exclusion criteria：

1) Not meet the diagnosis of cervical spondylosis;
2) Complications of severe systematic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, cardiocerebrovascular disorders or tumors;
3) History of neck trauma, cervical fracture or cervical surgery, neurologic impairment (for example, myasthenia or abnormal spinal nerve reflex), or congenital spinal abnormality, or a diagnosis of systemic disease of the bones or joints;
4) Rejection or fear of acupuncture therapy;
5）Pregnancy or lactation;
6）Use of any type of acupuncture within the 3 months prior to study entry;
7）Use of any other treatments (drug or non-drug).

盲法：

在治疗期间，用于给患者治疗的针灸针将使用统一外观的管针。不同分组的患者将被安排到不同的治疗室分别接受治疗，因此他们无法在治疗期间沟通和相互比较所接受的针灸方法。两组患者都将接受常规针灸作为基础治疗，远端取穴组的患者在治疗的同时接受远端取穴治疗。通过上述措施，对患者的盲法应该是有效的。在治疗结束后，患者将填写盲法评价问卷以评价盲法效果。

Blinding：

Because the efficacy of acupuncture inevitably depends on the skill of the operating doctors, allocation concealment to the doctors is not feasible for trials on acupuncture. Consequently, we applied a single-blind design in which the patients are blinded to their allocation. The statisticians are blinded to all treatment allocations throughout the study. The concealment will not be broken until the final data analysis report is completed.
