研究目的：

评估针灸在改善绝经期妇女潮红严重程度和频率的有效性。  

Objectives of Study：

Our objective is to assess the efficacy of needle acupuncture in improving hot flush severity and frequency in menopausal women.

药物成份或治疗方案详述：

 

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

 

纳入标准：

①绝经后（绝经至少12个月）或围绝经期（FSH≥25，闭经≥60天，正在经历血管舒缩症状）。（子宫全切术后，若年龄40-60岁，且FSH＞40的女性也包含在内）
②在过去的7天内，平均超热评分≥14(平均每天7次中度-重度潮热，并使用潮热记录卡进行评估)
③符合中医肾阴虚诊断（潮热汗出、腰膝酸软、头晕耳鸣、手足心热、口干欲饮、阴道干涩、失眠多梦，舌红少苔，脉象细数）。

Inclusion criteria

1. Be deemed postmenopausal (at least 12 months past the final menstrual period) or in the late menopausal transition (Follicular Stimulating Hormone/FSH level of 25 IU or greater, amenorrhoea of >=60 days and currently experiencing VMS). (Women who have had a hysterectomy are included if an FSH level is greater than 40 IU and they are between 40 and 60 years);
2. Record a mean hot flush score of at least 14 over 7 days during the run-in period (equivalent to an average of seven moderately-severe hot flushes a day and assessed using a validated Hot Flush Diary);
3. Meet the criteria for the Traditional Chinese medicine ( TCM) diagnosis of Kidney Yin deficiency determined using a structured Chinese medicine history and examination (sensations of heat in the body with sweating; aching and soreness in the lower back and knees/dizziness or tinnitus; feelings of heat in the palms, soles and chest / dry mouth or dry hard stool/ dry vagina/ insomnia and dreaminess(at least two of four); red tongue with scant coat; rapid fine pulse).

排除标准：

（1）年龄＜40周岁或40岁之前被诊断为卵巢早衰患者。
（2）双侧输卵管卵巢切除术患者。
（3）其他疾病导致的闭经（如：怀孕、高泌乳素血症、库兴氏综合征）。
（4）控制不良的甲状腺功能异常（甲亢或甲减）。
（5）由于乳腺癌或其治疗导致的血管舒缩症状及其症状加重。
（6）近期使用激素替代治疗在洗脱期内：经皮（4周），口服或宫内用药（8周），孕酮植入或雌激素注射，植物雌激素疗法（3个月），雌激素片剂/孕酮注射（6个月）。
（7）12周内进行过任何与潮热相关的治疗（包括补充治疗）。
（8）8周内进行过与潮热相关的药物或补充治疗。
（9）12周内使用过阴道雌激素疗法。
（10）具有针刺禁忌症者（正在应用抗凝药物，心脏瓣膜病，控制不良的糖尿病）。

Exclusion criteria：

1. Younger than 40 years of age (therefore diagnosed as having Premature Ovarian Failure) or have previously been diagnosed with premature ovarian failure when they are less than 40 years of age;
2. Have had a bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy;
3. Have any medical reason to be amenorrheic (for example pregnancy, hyperprolactinemia, Cushings syndrome);
4. Have poorly controlled hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism;
5. Are experiencing VMS that started or became worse after diagnosis of breast cancer or commencing treatment for breast cancer;
6. Are currently taking HRT, with the following washout periods to be observed: transdermal (four weeks), oral or intrauterine HRT (eight weeks), progestin implant/oestrogen injectable, phytoestrogen therapy (three months), oestrogen pellet/progestin injectable (six months);
7. Have ceased any other treatment for hot flushes within twelve weeks of screening (including complementary medicines);
8. Have commenced using any other pharmacological or complementary therapy for hot flushes in the past eight weeks;
9. Have commenced using vaginal oestrogen therapy in the past twelve weeks;
Have relative contraindications to acupuncture (use of anticoagulant drugs, heart valve disease, poorly controlled diabetes mellitus).

由天津中医药大学第一附属医院妇科张晗负责负责产生随机序列，采用EXCEL进行随机。本研究共3个分中心，采用区组随机。根据分中心人数，分别为136、30、30，进行随机。

Zhang Han, a gynecologist from the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine, was responsible for generating random sequences, which were randomized using EXCEL. In this study, there were 3 sub-centers, which were randomly divided into groups.
