Objectives of Study: |
To explore the application value of an artificial intelligence system based on retinal imaging in the screening of metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease and fibrosis. By comparing the AI screening results with the traditional multi-step diagnostic process (imaging - circulating biomarkers - imaging), this study aims to validate the effectiveness of the retinal AI model in assisting primary triage and optimizing referral decision-making, thereby improving the detection rate of early-stage liver fibrosis and reducing unnecessary referrals. Specifically, this research seeks to evaluate whether AI-guided referral strategies can safely redirect low-risk patients to community-based primary prevention while ensuring that high-risk patients are appropriately referred for further diagnostic evaluation. Furthermore, this study aims to alleviate consultation pressure on specialists, improve the efficiency of referral pathways, and promote the application of AI technology in the risk stratification and referral management of metabolic diseases. |

1. Aged 18 to 75 years. 2. Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus or metabolic syndrome. 3. Able to comply with and complete study-related examinations. |
