Objectives of Study: |
This project aims to introduce the digital nasal-sinus-slab correction (DPNAM) technique to Guizhou region, and establish an early intervention model for cleft lip and palate suitable for local medical conditions. The incidence of cleft lip and palate in Guizhou is relatively high, but the traditional PNAM technique relies on manual shaping and frequent follow-ups, making it difficult to be promoted at the grassroots level. This project combines 3D printing, AI-assisted design, and remote follow-up to optimize the treatment process, reduce the technical threshold, and benefit more children. |

Inclusion criteria |
Demographic characteristics: Newborns with unilateral complete cleft lip and palate who were born within 1-8 weeks and had a weight of at least 2.5 kilograms; Clinical features: Unilateral grade III cleft lip and palate, with the width of the lip fissure ranging from 5 to 12 millimeters; Family conditions: The guardian signs the informed consent form and commits to completing the follow-up (ensuring at least one follow-up visit per month, with the traditional group having one visit per week); Special consideration: Children from ethnic minorities such as the Miao people are recorded separately in a distinct category. |
