我们采用分层协变量约束随机化(Stratified covariate-constrained randomization)的方式,以学校为单位进行随机分配。这个分析方式能够在考虑城乡等差异,并且并在集群规模上实现近似平衡(Gallis et al., 2018)。在确认学校参与意愿并明确参与研究后,由一名与本项目招募、干预实施及结局评估无关的独立统计人员(GX)使用 R(v4.4.2)工具实施随机化。学校按当地教育部门提供的学校城市/农村分类依据进行分层(每层 6 所),并在每个分层内按 1:1(3:3)进行干预组/对照组分配。 在每个分层内将在册学生总数作为集群层面的平衡协变量。对所有满足分层与等比例约束的可行分配(每层 C(6,3)=20,整体 20×20=400)逐一计算L2 平衡指标(即两组在协变量上的标准化差异的 L2 度量;本研究仅含该协变量)。按 L2 从小到大取前 10%构成受限候选集(Yu et al., 2019),并在该集合中使用预先指定的随机种子随机抽取最终分配方案。 为确保可复现性,独立的数据分析人员将设定并记录固定随机号码,归档随机化脚本与输出(分配表含随机数、分层、排名及分配臂),并以日志保存软件会话信息(R 版本、各包版本)。 |

Randomization Procedure (please state who generates the random number sequence and by what method): |
We will randomize schools using stratified covariate-constrained randomization at the cluster (school) level. This approach achieves exact balance by stratum (urban vs. rural) while promoting approximate balance on cluster size (enrolment) (Gallis et al., 2018). After confirming school eligibility and obtaining participation consent, an independent statistician (initials: GX), who is not involved in recruitment, intervention delivery, or outcome assessment, will implement the randomization in R (v4.4.2). Schools will be stratified using the local education authority’s urban/rural classification, with six schools per stratum, and assigned 1:1 (3:3) to intervention vs. control within each stratum. Within each stratum, total enrolled students at each school will be treated as the cluster-level balancing covariate. We will enumerate all feasible allocations that satisfy the stratification and equal-allocation constraints (C(6,3)=20 per stratum; 20 × 20 = 400 overall). For each allocation we will compute the L2 balance metric, defined as the L2 norm of the standardized mean differences between arms (with a single covariate here, this reduces to the absolute standardized mean difference). Allocations will be ranked from smallest to largest L2, and the top 10% will form the constrained candidate set (Yu et al., 2019). The final allocation will then be selected uniformly at random from this set using a random seed. To ensure reproducibility, the statistician will set and record the seed; archive the randomization script and outputs (including the allocation table with seed, stratum, candidate rank, and arm assignment); and log the software session information (R version and package versions). Allocation will be concealed from study personnel involved in recruitment, intervention, and outcome assessment until assignments are released via secure transmission. |

盲法: |
与既往学校层面开展的研究相似,由于等待对照组设计及学校干预的场景特性,一旦确定干预活动排期,学生、教师及培训人员难免会知晓自身组别,因此无法对参与者及校方工作人员实现完全盲法。为最大限度降低偏倚,我们将实施以下保障策略: 随机分配与信息保密:在学校同意入组后,由不参与招募、干预实施、结局评估与统计分析的独立统计人员完成随机分配。分配序列及 “组别 — 代码” 主密钥将存储于加密且带口令保护的文件中;仅在需要确定排期时,通过加密且带时间戳的渠道按需披露给试验协调员,分析团队无权访问。 盲法数据收集:基线与随访调查将由两组相互独立、且对分组情况保持盲法的数据收集团队分别开展。所有学校将采用统一的标准化话术与操作流程,两组调查的测量内容、流程完全一致,且不包含任何提示组别身份的信息。 盲法数据分析与受控解盲:数据管理人员将生成去标识化数据集,并用中性代码(如 Group A/Group B)标注组别。数据分析将严格遵循预先签署的统计分析计划(SAP),在数据库锁定与主要分析代码冻结前,分析人员需基于遮蔽数据完成主要分析,并全程保持盲法。分析完成且数据库锁定后,需在研究督导授权下实施受控解盲;任何非预期的提前解盲,均需经过书面审批并完整归档。 通过 “分配保密 — 盲法收集 — 盲法分析” 的组合策略,我们希望能够在教育场景中尽可能降低评估与分析阶段的偏倚风险。 |

Blinding: |
As in prior school-based studies, the wait-list control design and the practicalities of the school setting mean that, once intervention schedules are confirmed, students, teachers and trainers will inevitably be aware of their allocation. Full blinding of participants and school staff is therefore not feasible. To minimise bias, we will implement the following safeguards: Randomisation and allocation concealment. After a school agrees to enrol, an independent statistician—uninvolved in recruitment, intervention delivery, outcome assessment or statistical analysis—will generate the allocation sequence and carry out assignment. The sequence and the master key linking "group-code" will be stored in an encrypted, password-protected file. Disclosure will occur only on a need-to-know basis to the trial coordinator, solely to finalise scheduling, via an encrypted, time-stamped channel. The analysis team will not have access to the key. Blinded data collection. Baseline and follow-up surveys will be conducted by two independent teams, each blinded to allocation. All schools will follow uniform, standardised scripts and operating procedures. Instruments and workflows will be identical across teams and will not contain any information that could reveal group identity. Blinded analysis and controlled unblinding. Data managers will create de-identified analysis datasets with neutral condition labels (e.g., "Group A/Group B"). Analyses will adhere strictly to the pre-specified Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP). Prior to database lock and code freeze, statisticians will complete the primary analyses using masked data and will remain blinded throughout. After analyses are complete and the database is locked, unblinding will occur in a controlled manner with authorisation from the study oversight lead. Any unplanned early unblinding will require written approval and full documentation. By combining allocation concealment, blinded data collection and blinded analysis, we aim to reduce risks of bias in evaluation and inference as far as is feasible within an educational setting. |
