分析曲面全景片上测量的眶下-下颌平面角（OMPA）和全景下颌平面角（PMPA）与头颅侧位片上测量的下颌平面角（MPA）之间的相关性，对比分析OMPA和PMPA在全景片中辅助预测垂直骨面型的可行性，并探究拍摄时头颅倾斜对相关性的影响。  

Objectives of Study：

This study aims to analyze the correlations of the Orbitale-Mandibular Plane Angle (OMPA) and the Panoramic Mandibular Plane Angle (PMPA) measured on panoramic radiographs with the Mandibular Plane Angle (MPA) from lateral cephalograms. It further compares the feasibility of OMPA and PMPA in predicting vertical skeletal patterns and investigates the influence of head tilt during radiography on these correlations.

纳入标准：

入选标准：所选每一例样本的x片必须来自同一患者，且患者同时具有头颅侧位片和曲面全景片；x片拍摄时间应为患者进行矫正治疗前（矫正时或矫正后患者骨面型可能会发生变化，影响实验结果）；x片应清晰完整能够定点，且不能是截图。

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion Criteria: Each selected radiographic sample must be from the same patient, and the patient must have both a lateral cephalogram and a panoramic radiograph. The radiographs must be taken before the initiation of orthodontic treatment, as the skeletal pattern may change during or after treatment, which could affect the experimental results. Furthermore, all radiographs must be clear, complete, suitable for accurate landmark identification, and must not be screenshots.

排除标准：

排除标准：患者的曲面体层片与头颅侧位片拍摄时间间隔超过3个月；患者拍摄影像时已有正畸、正颌外科或其他可能影响颌面部骨骼结构的治疗史；患者存在先天性颅颌面综合征（如唇腭裂）、颌骨骨折、颌骨肿瘤、严重的颞下颌关节骨性病变或其他系统性骨骼疾病；影像存在过度扭曲、伪影、曝光不足或过度、以及任何原因导致的关键解剖标志点（如眶下点、耳点、下颌骨下缘）模糊或无法辨认的情况； 影像拍摄时患者体位严重不正，例如头颅在矢状面或冠状面上存在明显倾斜，无法通过软件功能进行可靠校准。

Exclusion criteria：

Exclusion Criteria: Patients were excluded if the time interval between their panoramic radiograph and lateral cephalogram exceeded three months. Additional exclusion criteria included a history of prior orthodontic treatment, orthognathic surgery, or any other treatment that could alter the craniofacial skeletal structures. Furthermore, patients with congenital craniofacial syndromes (e.g., cleft lip/palate), jaw fractures, jaw tumors, severe bony temporomandibular joint pathologies, or other systemic skeletal diseases were excluded. Radiographs were also excluded if they exhibited excessive distortion, artifacts, underexposure, overexposure, or if any key anatomical landmarks (such as the Orbitale, Porion, or lower border of the mandible) were blurred or unidentifiable for any reason. Finally, images where the patient's positioning was severely incorrect, such as significant head tilt in the sagittal or coronal plane that could not be reliably corrected using software functions, were also excluded.

数据采集和管理（说明：数据采集和管理由两部分组成，一为病例记录表(Case Record Form, CRF)，二为电子采集和管理系统(Electronic Data Capture, EDC)，如ResMan即为一种基于互联网的EDC：

1. 数据采集 数据来源:本研究的所有数据均来源于厦门医学院附属口腔医院的病历系统及影像归档与通信系统。 采集内容:患者的曲面全景片与头颅侧位片的DICOM格式原始文件与从电子病历中提取的患者年龄、性别、影像拍摄日期等。 2. 源数据及其文件的管理 源数据定义:指医院PACS和HIS系统中存储的、未经任何修改的原始影像文件及病历记录,是研究数据的最终核查依据。 访问权限:源数据仅能通过医院内部系统访问,严禁未经授权下载原始数据至个人设备。 研究数据匿名化:所有用于分析的数据在离开医院系统前必须进行去标识化处理,即为每个病例分配一个唯一的研究编号,并删除所有直接个人标识符(姓名、身份证号、详细住址等)。

Data collection and Management (A standard data collection and management system include a CRF and an electronic data capture：

1. Data Collection Data Source: All data in this study are derived from the medical record system and the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) of The Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Xiamen Medical College. Collected Content: This includes the original DICOM format files of patients' panoramic radiographs and lateral cephalograms, as well as information extracted from electronic medical records such as patient age, sex, and imaging acquisition dates. 2. Management of Source Data and Documents Definition of Source Data: Refers to the original, unmodified imaging files and medical records stored within the hospital's PACS and Hospital Information System (HIS). These serve as the ultimate reference for verifying the study data. Access Permissions: Source data can only be accessed through the hospital's internal systems. Downloading original data to personal devices without authorization is strictly prohibited. Anonymization of Research Data: All data used for analysis must undergo de-identification before being transferred out of the hospital system. This process involves assigning a unique study identification number to each case and removing all direct personal identifiers (e.g., name, national ID number, detailed home address).
