- 測試以園藝活動降低香港年輕人的憂鬱程度的效果 - 測試園藝活動對香港年輕人的焦慮程度、自專心及生活素質的影響  

Objectives of Study：

- To examine the effects of horticultural activity on reducing depressive symptoms (primary outcome) among youth in Hong Kong, comparing with no intervention. - To examine the effects of horticultural activity on affecting anxiety, self-esteem and quality of life (secondary outcomes) among youth in Hong Kong, comparing with no intervention.

药物成份或治疗方案详述：

 

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

 

纳入标准：

(1) 15-24歲 (2) 能明白粵語及執行指令 (3) 在病人健康狀況問卷-9 獲取 5-19分

Inclusion criteria

(1) aged between 15 and 24 (2) can understand Cantonese and follow instructions (3) scored between 5-19 on Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9)

排除标准：

1) 患有情緒病 (2) 正在服用精神藥品 (3) 患有任何治病並導致其不能進行中度運動或不能被太陽/植物接觸 (4) 在病人健康狀況問卷-9 獲取 20分以上，即表示有嚴重憂鬱並需要即時的醫學治療

Exclusion criteria：

1) identified psychological illness (2) taking any psychoactive drugs (3) poses illness leading to the incapability of moderate strength exercise or cannot be exposed to sunlight or plants (4) scored equals to or above 20 in PHQ-9, which indicates severe depression and requires immediate medical treatment

数据采集和管理（说明：数据采集和管理由两部分组成，一为病例记录表(Case Record Form, CRF)，二为电子采集和管理系统(Electronic Data Capture, EDC)，如ResMan即为一种基于互联网的EDC：

数据采集: 病例记录表由問卷結果組成 (羅森伯格自尊量表, 焦慮程度評估問卷-7, EQ-5D-5L, 病人健康狀況問卷-9），並有參加者的背景資料包括年齡、教育程度及性別 管理工具: (1) 香港中文大學研究數據儲存庫, (2) 受密碼保護的電腦內/USB行動硬碟及雲端資料儲存系統內 只有本研究的研究員及新界東醫院聯網臨床研究倫理聯席委員會能存取。 每位參與者皆會以代號辨別其身份,非研究員無法獲知其個人資訊。

Data collection and Management (A standard data collection and management system include a CRF and an electronic data capture：

Data collection: case record form includes participant questionnaires results (Patient Health Questionnaire-9, Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, EQ-5D-5L), with partcipants' demographics including age, education levels and gender. Management: Electronic data capture (1) The Chinese University of Hong Kong Research Data Repository, (2) password-protected computer/ USB drive and Cloud storage Only the researchers of this research and the Joint CUHK-NTEC Clinical Research Ethics Committee can access the data.
