功能近紅外光譜(fNIRS)是一種非侵入性神經成像技術,用於監測與大腦皮層活動相關的血流動力學變化。本研究旨在比較兩部fNIRS設備的信號,包括一部16通道OEG-SpO2 NIRS系統(Spectratech Inc.,Tokyo,Japan)和一部16通道連續波藍牙可穿戴NIRS系統TechEn,Massachusetts,U.S.)。這兩部fNIRS設備均用於測量大腦額葉區域的血流動力學變化。Spectratech設備的可靠性在我們之前的一系列研究中得到了證實。然而,由於TechEn設備尚未用於任何已發表的研究,其采集到的血流動力學信號仍需進一步檢查,以確保該設備能夠同Spectratech設備一樣采集到可靠的血流動力學信號。  

Objectives of Study:

Functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) is a non-invasive neuroimaging technique to monitor hemodynamic changes associated with cortical brain activities. This study aims to compare the signals of two fNIRS devices, including a 16-channel OEG-SpO2 NIRS system (Spectratech Inc., Tokyo, Japan) and a 16-channel continuous wave Bluetooth wearable NIRS system (TechEn, Massachusetts, U.S.). Both fNIRS devices were designed to measure hemodynamic changes in the frontal area of the brain. The reliability of the Spectratech device has been well-established in a series of our studies. However, as the TechEn device has not been used in any pulished studies, the hemodynamic signals derived from the TechEn fNIRS device still needs further examination in order to ensure that the device can record reliable hemodynamic signals as the Spectratech device.

Inclusion criteria

Adults aged between 18 and 40 years will be included.

排除标准:

有腦損傷史、任何神經系統或精神疾病以及身體殘疾(如聾啞)的個人將被排除在外。不會讀和說中文的人也將被排除在外。

Exclusion criteria:

Individuals who have a history of head injury, or any neurological/psychiatric disorders, and physical disabilities (e.g., deafness, dumbness) will be excluded. Those who are unable to read and speak Chinese will also be excluded.
