研究目的：

1) 探討太極氣功和對照組對鼻咽癌康復者生活質量和心理健康的影響 2) 探討太極氣功和對照組對鼻咽癌康復者體能的影響 3) 探討太極氣功和對照組對鼻咽癌康復者炎症指標的影響 4) 評估太極氣功和對照組對鼻咽癌康復者在各方面的持續影響  

Objectives of Study：

1) To examine the effect of Tai Chi-Qigong on quality of life and mental health among NPC survivors, versus control 2) To examine the effect of Tai Chi-Qigong on physical health (health-related fitness and pulmonary function) among NPC survivors, versus control 3) To examine the effect of Tai Chi-Qigong on inflammatory biomarkers among NPC survivors, versus control 4) To evaluate the maintenance effect (i.e. 12 weeks after intervention) of Tai Chi-Qigong on all outcome measures among NPC survivors, versus control

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

 

纳入标准：

(1) 歲數介乎於18至65歲之間
(2) 曾經診斷為鼻咽癌的病歷史
(3) 已完成有關癌症的治療
(4) 沒有任何參與過有關太極、氣功、和任何一種的身心運動
(5) 已康復一年或以上
(6) 流利的廣東話和中文閱讀能力

Inclusion criteria

(1) aged between 18 and 65 years old; (2) a history of NPC diagnosis; (3) completion of conventional medical care; (4) no experience in practicing any type of Tai Chi, Qigong, or other mind-body exercises; (5) had expected survival period or more the one year; (6) fluent in Cantonese speaking & reading in Chinese.

排除标准：

(1) 正在參與任何替代和額外的治療
(2) 認知功能下降
(3) 無法進行關於本研究的體能測試和訓煉
(4) 有吸煙習慣

Exclusion criteria：

(1) participating in any alternative and complementary therapies; (2) cognitive decline, (3) unable to perform the physical test and exercise of this study, and (4) smoking.

Randomization will be conducted by the block of size ranging from 10 to 20. The independent research personnel will prepare the randomization sequence. The assessors of this study will be blinded. The participants will be instructed not to disclose their group allocation to the assessors during the assessments.
