研究目的: |
窄种植体一般认为是直径小于等于3.5mm的种植体。良好的存留率和修复效果促使窄种植体逐渐应用于骨量不足或近远中距离间隙不足的后牙区。然而,较窄的直径会造成悬臂较长、对牙槽嵴的应力较大等问题,可能造成并发症的增多。因此,本研究拟通过大样本量的病历资料和回访的回顾性研究来全面探索后牙区窄种植体种植修复失败的风险因素。种植体直径、长度、型号和存留情况、患者基本信息、手术相关因素和修复相关因素将通过病历资料和患者随访获得。该研究拟通过对潜在风险因素的分析,总结可参考的循证医学证据,为窄种植体在后牙区的安全应用提供参考。 |

Objectives of Study: |
Narrow-diameter implants are defined as implants with a diameter less than or equal to 3.5mm. Promising survival rate and clinical performance enables its wide application at posterior regions with insufficient alveolar bone or limited proximodistal distance. However, decreased diameter will cause longer cantilever and will create larger force at the crestal bone, hence potential higher rates of complication. Consequently, this retrospective research aims to comprehensively analysis the risk factors of failed implant-supported restoration. The diameter, length, type, survival of implants, patient basic information, surgery-related factors and restoration-related factors will all be obtained from medical records and patient follow-ups. Through causal analysis of potential risk factors, evidence-based conclusions can be generated and hence providing guidance to the safe application of narrow-diameter implants at posterior region. |

本研究拟评价的干预措施为后牙区植入直径<=3.5mm的窄种植体。术前常规嘱患者洁牙。患者接受局部浸润麻醉,在标准临床流程下完成种植体植入。一期手术3~4月后,行后期牙冠修复。其余术式如残根拔除、骨增量也均在标准流程下完成。术后嘱患者口服或静脉滴注抗生素。所有种植体均来自获得国家药品监督管理局批准,并在武汉大学口腔医院种植科批准使用的种植体品牌。 |

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail: |
The intervention in this retrospective study is the implantation of implants with a diameter less than or equal to 3.5mm (narrow-diameter implant) at the posterior region. All patients were required to receive supragingival scaling preoperation. After local anesthesia, dental implants were inserted under standard operation procedure. After a healing period of 3 to 4 monthsimplant-supported restoration will be placed. Other procedures including residual root extraction, bone augmentation were all conducted standardly. Patients will be required to take antibiotics orally or intravenously. All the brands of dental implants were approved by the National Medical Products Administration and School and Hospital of Stomatology, Wuhan University. |

拟纳入1996年11月至2022年3月于武汉大学口腔医院种植科接受后牙区窄种植体(直径小于等于3.5mm)一期手术的患者。 |

Inclusion criteria |
Patients who received narrow-diameter implant (diameter less than or equal to 3.5mm) insertion first-stage surgery at School and Hospital of Stomatology, Wuhan University from November 1996 to March 2022. |

排除标准: |
术中植入失败、只行骨增量而未植入种植体、基本信息不全的患者。 |

Exclusion criteria: |
Patients with following conditions: Insertion failure during implant surgery; Only bone augmentation procedure was conducted but not implant insertion; incomplete information. |

Data collection and Management (A standard data collection and management system include a CRF and an electronic data capture: |
The data collection and management of this research was done through case report forms. One researcher collect the diameter, length, type and survival of implants. Other three researchers collect patien-related factors (sex, age, medical history), surgry-related factors (bone augmentation, bone graft material, immediate implant, submerged healing, surgery doctor) and restoration-related factors (immediate loading, restoration material, fixation methods). One researcher collected the postoperation and follow-up radiographs. |
