研究目的：

本研究的目的是製定一項由青年社區健康顧問 (YACHA) 領導的干預計劃，並檢驗 YACHA 領導的干預計劃在提高香港南亞人接受 FIT 大腸癌篩查的有效性。  

Objectives of Study：

The purpose of this study is to develop a young adult community health advisor (YACHA) -led intervention program and examine the effectiveness YACHA-led intervention program to improve the uptake of colorectal cancer-screening with FIT among South Asians in Hong Kong.

药物成份或治疗方案详述：

 

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

The study consists of four phases. The first phase of the study will be the development of a theory-based training program for young adult community health advisor YACHA on colorectal cancer screening. The second phase of the study will be the development of the YACHA-led intervention program; the third phase of the study will be the conduction and implementation of the feasibility study. The last the fourth phase of the study will the conduction and implementation of the randomized controlled trial (RCT) study. The Standard Protocol Items: Recommendations for the Intervention Trials (SPIRIT) will be used to report the study. 

纳入标准：

第一階段的納入標準：YACHA培訓計劃
(1) 來自香港的尼泊爾、巴基斯坦和印度少數族裔的年輕人
(2) 18 至 40 歲的南亞青年
(3) 用流利的英語或中文，以及烏爾都語/尼泊爾語/印地語溝通
(4) 能夠使用智能手機、平板電腦和電腦等電子設備，通過在線平台進行干預。
(5) 願意參加 「社區健康顧問」的培訓計劃
(6) 願意作為「社區健康顧問」為他們的社區人士服務。

第二階段的納入標準：主要研究
(1) 來自印度、尼泊爾和巴基斯坦等南亞少數民族的 50 至 75 歲的人士，
(2) 持有香港身份證或豁免證明書，
(3) 沒有大腸癌的個人和家族史，
(4) 沒有結腸切除術的既往史，
(5) 沒有大腸癌的病徵和病狀，
(6） 沒有進行大腸癌篩查或過去2年內未有進行過糞便免疫化學試驗(FIT)、過去5年內沒有進行過乙狀結腸鏡檢查和過去10年內沒有進行過結腸鏡檢查，
(7） 能夠簽署知情同意書，並且
(8) 願意被隨機分配到對照組或干預組。

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria for phase I: YACHA Training Program
(1). Young adult from Nepalese, Pakistani and Indian ethnic minority groups in Hong Kong
(2). South Asians young adults aged between 18 and 40 years
(3). Fluency in English or Chinese, and Urdu/Nepali/ Hindi
(4). Able to use electronic devices such as smart phone, tablet and computer so that they could deliver the intervention through online platform.
(5). Willing to participate in CHA training program
(6). Willing to serve their community as a community health advisor.
Inclusion Criteria for Phase II: Main study
(1). individuals from South Asian ethnic minority groups such as India, Nepal and Pakistani aged between 50 and 75 years,
(2). hold a Hong Kong Identity Card or Certificate of Exemption,
(3). no prior personal and family history of CRC,
(4). no prior history of colectomy,
(5).no signs and symptoms suggestive of colorectal cancer,
(6). with no prior history of CRC screening or did not perform a fecal Immunochemical test (FIT) test in the past 2 years, sigmoidoscopy examination in the past 5 years and colonoscopy examination in the past 10 years;
(7) able to sign informed consent form, and
(8) willing to be randomly assigned control or intervention group.

排除标准：

那些患有大腸癌的一級親屬、患有慢性炎症性腸病等嚴重疾病、以前因患有癌症而曾經接受過腹部或盆腔的放射治療、以及不建議接受大腸癌檢查，如大腸鏡檢查、乙狀結腸鏡檢查和 FIT 測試將被排除在研究之外。

Exclusion criteria：

Those participants with first-degree relative with colorectal cancer, with significant medical conditions such as chronic inflammatory bowel diseases and having the history of abdominal or pelvic radiation for a previous cancer and those who are not advised to receive colorectal cancer modalities such as colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and FIT test will be excluded from the study.
