研究目的：

探討芳療穴位按壓及芳香療法對改善失智症患者的問題行為之效果，期望能提供臨床照顧者在照護上有一套簡易且非侵入性的操作方案  

Objectives of Study：

compare aroma-acupressure with aromatherapy to explore the effects on problem behaviour in patients with dementia

药物成份或治疗方案详述：

 

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

 

纳入标准：

(一) 符合DSM-IV標準，經精神或神經內科醫師診斷為「失智症」
(二) 長式機構版CMAI得分＞35
(三) 研究期間可以週一到週五連續住在機構者
(四) 穴位按壓施術部位(頭部及四肢)沒有破皮、感染或截肢等情況

Inclusion criteria

(i) meeting the DSM-IV standard for dementia as diagnosed by psychiatrists or neurologists; (ii) scoring 35 or above on the long form of the Cohen-Mansfield Agitation Inventory (CMAI), which was defined as severe agitation; (iii) expecting to be present in the long-term care facility every Monday to Friday during the period of the study; and (iv) possessing no broken skin or infection surrounding the acupoints.

排除标准：

（一）如篩選後不符合收案條件
(二)本人或家屬無法簽署受試者同意書

Exclusion criteria：

1. participants don't meet the inclusion criteria
2. participants or family can't sign the informed consent forms
