研究目的：

針對急性住院或慢性機構老人，以國際健康功能與身心障礙分類系統(ICF, International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health)的架構為基礎，觀察蛋白質補給配合運動訓練對於改善肌肉質量與身體活動功能之成效。  

Objectives of Study：

To identify the intervention effects of PS plus ExT on muscle mass and function outcomes which are based on ICF model in frail older adults with acute (i.e., lower limb fracture or total joint replacement) or chronic (nursing home residents) conditions.

药物成份或治疗方案详述：

 

Description for medicine or protocol of treatment in detail：

 

纳入标准：

年齡在60歲以上之男女性，經醫師診斷為下肢骨折或退化性膝關節炎，進行外科手術或人工關節置換術住院患者。

Inclusion criteria

1. Older adults aged >=60 years;
2. Have a diagnosis of lower extremity fracture or osteoarthritis;
3. Receiving an operation for fracture or total joint replacement.

排除标准：

有心血管疾病不適運動者、因神經系統疾病致肢體無力或認知功能損傷患者、腎臟病病史無法接受蛋白質補充者，皆為排除對象。

Exclusion criteria：

Having a history of:
1. Cardiovascular disease that is not suitable for exercise training;
2. Neurological disease or cognitive impairments;
3. Kidney disease that is not suitable for protein supplementation.
